Booking Information To Climb Kilimanjaro
Yes, a solo climber can join any group climb, or even book their own private climb.
No, all of our climbs are guaranteed to depart as soon as one climber has joined.
Our open group departures are capped at 12-15 people maximum. We have extensive experience arranging private tours, for solo climbers, small and large groups, as requested.
Climbers must be 18 years of age or over to climb alone. Climbers under 18 must have an adult accompany them on the climb. We recommend you book a private climb if you are traveling with children under 16. For children under 14 years, we will discuss inquiries on a case-by-case basis, depending on the experience level of the child and parent/guardian.
Classic Climb prices include park fees; camping/hut fees; rescue fees; return transport to/from the park gates; emergency oxygen; guide(s), cook(s) and porters’ salaries; VAT tax; drinking water; all food on the climb; tents; private toilet; one-night pre-climb accommodation with dinner & breakfast; one-night post-climb accommodation with breakfast and complimentary celebration dinner and two airport transfers.
Premium climbs include upgraded expanded height tents; camp beds with foam mattresses; a private shower tent; a superior menu and upgraded accommodations before and after your trek, in addition to the essentials from our Classic Climbs.
African Scenic Safaris include airport transfers and pre/post climb accommodation as part of our open group packages. Should you prefer to make your own arrangements, please do let us know and we can provide a price excluding these elements for your trip.
Tipping; hiring of personal equipment such as clothing or a sleeping bag; visa; vaccinations; spending money; drinks at the lodges and lunches in Moshi.
Climb prices are based on shared rooms and tents; however, if you prefer a single tent, this can be arranged for a supplement. Please enquire for more information.

You will be invoiced upon making a reservation and full payment is due 60 days prior to the first land day of the trip unless otherwise agreed. It depends on how strong you're feeling after the summit, but most climbers are back in Moshi around lunchtime.
