Simbo Natai was born and raised on the foothills of Kilimanjaro. After completing Secondary School, he attended Tourism College, where he discovered his love for African wildlife.
Simbo started in the industry as a guide, Climbing Kilimanjaro before specializing as a safari guide. He runs the logistics of African Scenic Safaris and will be behind the scenes, ensuring your safari or climb is perfectly organized.

As the company has grown, so too has our operations team. It takes a strong team to ensure that every detail of your trip is simply perfect. Vehicles and equipment need to be maintained to the highest standards; accommodation booked; transport and crew logistics planned and coordinated; permits organized; food purchased; sustainability practices actioned; communications maintained and finite checks completed before every single departure. The list goes on! These are the people behind the scenes who you may not meet, but without whom your trip would simply not be possible.

Our field team is made up of a prolific group of professionals who are passionate about Safaris In Tanzania and trekking. Our Kilimanjaro head guides, assistant guides, cooks and porters receive the best treatment on the mountain. We ensure they have 3 meals per day, good sleeping arrangements, medical insurance and fair salaries.
In a country where loans can be extremely hard to access, we have a procedure allowing staff to take loans if needed.
We organise regular training for our staff to continuously improve their skills and knowledge and help them maintain the highest standards possible.
As well as training, we have regular staff meetings to focus on customer service and how to provide more unique experiences for our guests.
We have very little turnover of staff. They tell us they love working for African Scenic Safaris! This is apparent to many of our clients, who give feedback saying how passionate our guides and crew are.
