The best company out there! You Need to choose African Scenic for your trip
African Scenic Safaris were Amazing. We were a large group of students who climbed Kilimanjaro with them and went on a safari in Tarangire National Park. The guides and porters they hired for our Kilimanjaro hike were incredible. Our team leader Joel always made sure we were up super early so that we could get to the next camp and rest before our next hike. All the guides were so friendly and supportive, we couldn't have done it without them. They had to cater for a group of 30 of us but did it perfectly. The food was great, the organisation was exceptional and the atmosphere was lively always.
I would 100% climb with them again and encourage everyone to do so. I don't think there's a better company out there. They also team up with the porter’s association so that the porters get paid a fair wage. For the Safari in Tanzania, our driver was super knowledgeable and always answered our questions. The food was exceptional and the tents were so comfy! Again, I would recommend this company without a doubt. Thank you African Scenic for making my trip so memorable. Amazing few days!
We had the most amazing four days on a Safari in Tanzania. First at the Tarangire National Park, then the Serengeti and in the end the Ngorgongo crater. I can highly recommend our guide, Grayson.
He was so kind, had the best eagle eyes to spot animals, and spoke perfect English. We learned so much about all the animals and this country. Thank you for the Tanzania Adventure Tours we ‘ll never forget.

Incredible 10-day Safari and amazing guide!
A friend and I custom-created our own 10-day Safari Itinerary Tanzania with African Scenic Safaris, visiting Tarangire National Park, Lake Manyara, the Serengeti and the Ngorongoro Crater. WOW! Such an incredible trip, full of animal sightings. We chose the 4-star option and loved our various accommodations along the way. Our guide, Tom, was an absolute expert at finding the animals and seeming to know where they were going before even they did (he was often the first to find an animal and other guides would follow his lead).
He even taught us a few phrases in Swahili (which we had great fun trying to pronounce). I can't say enough great things about African Scenic Safaris and our guide Tom. Thank you for an incredible Tanzania Safari Experience!

Honeymoon Safari of a Lifetime
We just came back from the trip of a lifetime--seven days exploring Tarangire National Park, the Ngorongoro Crater and the Serengeti, followed by four nights in Zanzibar. It was a honeymoon that we'll never forget, thanks to the diligence of our Tanzania Tour Operator, Shelley, and our awesome guide Tom Ninah, of African Scenic Safaris.
When we finally decided on Tanzania as our safari destination (we are both avid consumers of nature documentaries, many of them Serengeti wildlife-centric), I was overwhelmed by the number of operators on TripAdvisor. Who would be reliable? Trustworthy? We decided we wanted to go with a Tanzanian-based company who had expertise specific to the region. After reaching out to several companies for quotes, African Scenic Safaris was the most responsive and helpful operator, with the most attractive price point for our requirements.
Shelley worked with us closely to develop the Tanzania Safari Itinerary of our dreams. I did a lot of research on specific tent camps and lodges so we could provide her with preferences but when some were booked or not up to snuff, she recommended excellent alternatives. All our lodges and camps were in incredible locations and we had a memorable sunset nearly every night (one was even paired with a rainbow). The staff at each overnight was always accommodating and cheerful.
As for the actual Tanzania Honeymoon Safari, I could not imagine a better guide than our trusty leader, Tom. He has 16 years of experience as a guide, he knows the bush like the back of his hand and he's got a great sense of humor to boot. He always seems to be a step ahead of the game and has a great sense of predicting wildlife behaviour. He can spot leopards hiding in trees and lions on the hunt for prey camouflaged in tall grass from a kilometre away. And he's an excellent Swahili tutor.
Shelley's recommendations were thoughtful and considered our preferences. We ended up staying at some incredible properties. Notably, outside Tarangire National Park, we stayed at the Mbali Mbali River Camp. The thatched roof lodge is gorgeous, has a pool and from its river overlook we spied many elephants, giraffes, baboons and gazelles. The park itself was a revelation--we almost slipped it, but are so glad we went upon Shelley's recommendation. In its confines, we spied leopards and lions on the hunt and too many elephants to count--it has Tanzania's largest concentration of the great mammal. The staff at Angata in Ngorongoro were very charming and serenaded us with the popular favourite "Jambo Bwana". Kubu Kubu Tented Lodge in the Central Serengeti boasts spectacular views and sumptuous accommodations. And the sunsets at Acacia Migration Camp in the Northern Serengeti were stunning. And we had luxurious stays at the Park Hyatt in Stone Town and Kendwa Beach's Gold Zanzibar resort.

Once in a Lifetime Experience
Ok, so for most people an African safari is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. There are so many companies and ways to do it, so how do you choose The Best Tour Operator in Tanzania for this epic event? Well, I was fortunate to get a personal recommendation for African Scenic Safaris. I was Not steered wrong. All communications were prompt and straightforward. All details were expertly handled. All accommodations were great and everything that was in their control went smoothly. We visited Tarangire National Park, Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro Crater, central Serengeti and northern Serengeti for a spectacular hot air balloon ride and to see the Serengeti Wildebeest Migration across the Mara River. While a lot to fit into 8 days, I wouldn’t change a thing. Seeing the animals in these varied environments was so amazing!.
Our guide, Tom, absolutely made the Tanzania Safari though. He is so knowledgeable and experienced. His sense of humour, kindness and care made me feel like he was family. We did and saw so much in the 8 days we were with him. His expertise got us to the right place at the right time on so many occasions. It felt like he shared our excitement and enthusiasm and his love for the animals and parks was apparent. I celebrated a milestone birthday while I was there and he made sure it was a special day I won’t ever forget. I can’t thank Tom and African Scenic Safari enough for my once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Excellent experience
I organised a 6-day Safari in Tanzania (Tarangire, Ngorongoro, Ndutu, and Serengeti) through African Scenic Safaris and was very happy with the entire experience.
Shelley arranged good accommodation in or near the various Tanzania National Parks and was always helpful and prompt in replying to emails during the booking process.
My driver/guide, Jimmy, was excellent, both friendly and knowledgeable and his ability to spot animals was truly exceptional. The Tanzania Safari Vehicle was in good condition, well-maintained and comfortable.
I would happily recommend African Scenic Safaris to anyone planning to come to Tanzania.

Great Safari
We were on an 11-day Safari in Tanzania. Amanda from African Scenic Safari was prompt in correspondence in organising the Tanzania Safari Tour.
We arrived in Moshi & met by our guide Mr.Rasheed Kihiyo who was with us for the entire safari.
Visited Tarangire National Park, and saw lots of elephants.
Amanda had recommended visiting and staying in Ndutu to witness migration and Wildebeest calving which was an excellent suggestion. Thanks, Amanda.
We stayed at Burunge tented camp - Manager John and the staff were excellent.
Then to Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro Crater.
In central Serengeti stayed at Kati Kati tented camp. Special thanks to Chef Mr.Hassan, Sylvester & Emmanuel.
Last but not least, our guide Mr.Rasheed Kihiyo was knowledgeable in Tanzania National Parks, animals and whereabouts of the animals.. etc. He never gave up on finding animals, even saw Black Rhinos! Excellent disciplined driver/guide.

Outstanding Adventure
We used African Scenic Safaris for our first-ever Tanzania Safari Tours. I was a little worried, but the guide they assigned to us - Tom Ninah - was so experienced (16 years guiding, plus previous professional hunting experience, and he spent some of his formative years growing up in Serengeti National Park where his father was warden) that my concerns quickly washed away.
We stayed at three of the Angata Camps in tents. Tom took us to Ndutu, Serengeti and Ngorongoro. He is encyclopedic on animals, birds, plants and Tanzanian Cultural Tours.
This review is more about the guide than the guide service company, which was fine but could have done a better job communicating with us before our arrival concerning the suggested Safari Packing List Tanzania, billing, daily itinerary, etc. So, they did a brilliant job in hiring Tom, and without him would have earned a much lesser rating.

Simply amazing!
We bought Tarangire Safari Packages for a 7-night safari to Tarangire National Park, the Serengeti, and Ngorongoro Crater. We loved every minute of it.
Our guide, Grayson, was wonderful. He was kind and knowledgeable and put a lot of effort into ensuring we got to see as many animals as possible. Nembris, who helped us book the trip was also great, very helpful and responsive. I highly recommend this company as the Best Tour Operator in Tanzania.

Wow!!! I can’t say enough great things about this company! Shelley was great to work with to help plan our entire Tanzania Safari Tour from start to finish! We exchanged multiple emails to get every detail perfect for our Tanzania Honeymoon Safari! She had great recommendations and everything was beyond perfect!
Tom was our driver and I just can’t say enough great things about him! He understands English and American humor so joking with him was so much fun! He was amazing at pointing out all the animals and was so joyful the entire day!! He has the best personality and really made us feel so comfortable (my husband and I). We were great about listening to our wants and accommodating them! I loved that he came on our walking safari in the Tarangire National Park!
It was nice to have him there while we walked with the ranger! We loved that he could be with us on all our game drives as it made the day soooo enjoyable! Tom made the best commentary for our animal videos and one day he had me crying bcz I was laughing sooooo hard!!! He was amazing!!!!
10/10 would recommend Shelley and Tom!!!! We can’t wait to come back!!!.

Better than we could have imagined!!! Can I do 6 Stars !!
I read the Tanzania Safari Reviews on Trip Advisor and after numerous emails with Amanda of African Scenic Safaris our group of 4 decided to go ahead and book our 7-day Tanzania Safari with Amanda. That was a great decision! Amanda answered all questions in a very timely and thorough fashion and the payment process was a breeze.
We were picked up promptly at Kilimanjaro Airport and transferred to a beautiful lodge on the edge of Moshi.
We spent a couple of days there adjusting to the time zone then we were off on a great adventure. Bushmaster David picked us up in a perfect Toyota Land Cruiser that had a pop-up top for viewing scenery and wildlife.
We went to Tarangire National Park for a day and the wildlife viewing was outstanding.
Bushmaster Dave knew exactly where to be to get the best views without interfering with the animal's behaviour. He explained all the interactions and habits of the animals and birds and helped us understand the intricate relationships in this environment.
At the river, in the late day, we were privileged to witness Elephants and zebra. Wildebeest, Giraffes, Warthogs and I believe Buffalo all at the same time with at least two Giraffes drinking at the same time while others were feeding from the trees!!!
An unbelievable sight. Two nights were spent at The Maramboi Tented camp which was much like a lodge with Zebra grazing right up to our back deck. We sat on our deck enjoying a beautiful sunset while these gorgeous animals grazed.
Great accommodations and a very good included restaurant, good dining options.
After a full day of game viewing with Bushmaster Dave, we were transferred to the Kati Kati tented camp for 3 nights. After game viewing on the great route, we settled in and had a nice hot shower in our large tents which also had excellent private toilets as well. A very nice bed and great served meals in the common dining tent.
This is far from roughing it but remember you are on the Serengeti and must not leave the tent at night without an escort. I really don't know why you would have to. Everything you need is supplied. We did have a Hyena at the front of our tent one night but it was no problem and kind of interesting (and odorous) haha
We had several game drives in the Serengeti and Bushmaster Dave was always there with a story and interesting information about the animals and surroundings. NEVER A DULL MOMENT!! This man is brilliant !!
We also visited the Ngorongoro Crater ( not a crater but you can discover that on your trip ) which had somewhat its ecosystem. Very interesting. We were privileged to arrive just after a lion's kill of a warthog and got to watch lions, hyenas, and jackals all feeding while others like Zebras watched nervously from a distance..
On our Travel in Tanzania, we witnessed Leopards, many prides of lions, herds of elephants, crocodiles, many hippos, numerous giraffes, warthogs, zebra herds, dik-diks, cheetahs, monkeys, baboons, hyenas, buffalo herds, gazelles of all types and many others that just take too long to list.
This was a fabulous trip with fabulous company with a fabulous tour guide Bushmaster Dave. I have done many reviews and lots of travel but if possible I would give them 6 stars and can't recommend this tour company enough!! Do yourself a favour and book Tanzania Safari Packages with African Scenic Safaris and customize it as much as you want!!.

Everything about this Tanzania Safari Experience was amazing and truly the trip of a lifetime stuff. So why did we rate them 4 out of 5 if we recommend them highly?! Well, the only issue we had was on the payment side. As we were travelling to Tanzania, we were notified that our final payment, which we'd sent months before, had not been received and we still owed them the payment. Long story short, the first three days were spent with emails, phone calls and the pressure of resolving the issue for them to finally find the payment that had been made months before.
I truly believe it was a genuine mistake on their end and no dishonesty or ill intent was involved but the stress it produced had a real impact on the beginning of our Tanzania Safari Trip and therefore the 4 instead of 5 rating.
Outside of that everything was fantastic, Rasheed, our guide, was truly exceptional. We felt safe with his driving, he was cautious and safe unlike most of the other road users in Tanzania! He was incredibly knowledgeable of all the animals, landscape, fauna, insects, history, you name it and if he wasn't sure he had a bag full of reference books! It was clear he enjoyed his work and sharing his knowledge and experience. An incredibly likeable guy and a big part of why the trip was so memorable.
We stayed at the Whistling Thorn tented camp, Serengeti Kati Kati tented camp, Ang'ata Ngorongoro tented camp and The African Tulip in Arusha. All the tented camps were good and an authentic experience with the sounds of animals sometimes right outside your canvas door. The Whistling Thorn was our least favourite, didn't quite have the same vibe as the other two and they didn't allow Rasheed to eat dinner with us which we didn't understand. The other two were outstanding and the African Tulip is a gorgeous boutique hotel.
We visited different Tanzania National Parks such as Tarangire National Park, Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Serengeti for multiple days the other two for a day each. If you only had one to go to we'd choose Tarangire for sure, we saw more in a short time and distance there than anywhere else.
So, in conclusion, we would go back with Tanzania Tour Operator, African Scenic in a heartbeat, we would just do a little more follow-up email on the payment part to avoid that situation again. I can't recommend Rasheed strongly enough. As you spend the whole trip from the airport to the airport and everything in between except your tent with your guide they have a big influence on the success of the trip, he made ours.

Amazing high-quality safari on the Northern Circuit
From pick-up to drop-off this was... No, from getting in touch until handling a tiny issue a week after drop-off it was an amazing experience to travel with the Best Tour Operator in Tanzania, African Scenic Safaris. I booked an 8-day/7-night Safari on the Northern Circuit (Tarangire, Ndutu, Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, Lake Manyara), staying in tented camps.
Communication with the head office was excellent, Priyank answered all my questions within a short time. Especially liked the suggestion of going to Ndutu (which turned out to be the best part of my trip). The Tanzania Safari Itinerary suggestion I received was very detailed and well-presented.
Being a solo traveller, having a good guide is probably even a bit more important than when you're travelling as a couple or in a group.
My guide Jackson was just perfect! It felt like experiencing this with a friend, but (and I liked this) he always kept a professional distance and attitude. He gave me a lot of information about the animals we saw but had also the right feeling for knowing when to just leave me in silence and let me watch the animals or nature (or have a nap while driving to the next place :-)
Of course, a high-quality safari comes with its Tanzania Safari Cost. But, for most people, this is a once (or maybe twice) in a lifetime experience. It's definitely worth booking with a high-quality operator.

The best trip in our lives!
My wife and I had an amazing safari. It has overpassed our expectations, and they were really high.
Since the first moment, Simbo has been really helpful and flexible in finding the Tanzania Safari Tour that best fits our desires. Everything on Tanzania Safari Planning went smoothly from when they picked us up at the airport until the last day.
Our guide Greyson and the chef Charlie were also amazing. We felt really comfortable and took care of every moment. We visited Tanzania National Parks such as Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro and Serengeti and Greyson succeeded in letting us sport every animal due to his experience and knowledge... We even saw cheetahs hunting!!.
He also gave great explanations of what we were seeing and answered all our questions. Charlie was a really good chef who prepared delicious food for us and was very kind. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide or chef. We are definitely really happy about choosing African Scenic Safaris and we recommend choosing their Tanzania Safari Packages in case you are looking for a similar trip. Take good care of them because they are great.

Great alternative camping safari with African Scenic Safaris
African Scenic Safaris put together and delivered a fantastic eight-day alternative camping safari for us. The Tanzania Safari Planning was superb from the start – they were very happy to listen to our particular requests – Tarangire, Lake Manyara and Lake Natron/ Ol Doinyo Lengai - before taking on Kilimanjaro (see separate review).
And implementation was perfect! Rashid (our guide and driver) and Charles (our cook) were there to meet us as we emerged from Kilimanjaro International.
Our luggage was loaded into the fully prepared vehicle, already laden with camping gear and all necessities for the week. A short briefing and we were away. All our needs during Travel in Tanzania had been anticipated – plenty of water in the vehicle fridge, spare binoculars hung over the headrests, and packed lunch ready for when we were hungry. This continued across the week.
Although Lake Manyara National Park was the first destination, African Scenic had chosen a campsite on the top of the Rift Valley wall with magnificent views over the lake towards Mount Meru. As with all campsites we visited, there were a group of local helpers who set up the tents and helped us settle in fast. It makes one feel welcomed and less of a trespasser. The tents provided are spacious, and the mattresses are comfortable. The sleeping bags were a bit too warm, so we slept in our cotton mummy liners on top. We heard a lion during the night, and a samango watched us brush our teeth in the morning.
Lake Manyara is beautiful, the reserve lying between the rift valley wall and the lake itself. Numerous streams flow down to the lake, resulting in rich riverine forests with superb birds, samango, and large troops of baboon and vervet monkeys, with lots of babies to watch suckling, playing and hitching lifts on parents. There are also more open spaces, with plenty of buffalo, elephant, zebra, wildebeest, impala and some hippo. Rashid was a superb and knowledgeable guide and soon picked up our interest in birds. We were treated to the fish eagle, the long-toed African jacana, the shy squacco heron, the giant kingfisher, and of course flamingos and pelicans, among so many others.
The open-top Tanzania Safari Vehicle was new to us, and it works a treat. In effect you stand most of the time, wind in your face when driving, and with a perfect view of animals, regardless of which side they happen to be on. The restlessness that comes from sitting all day in a car doesn’t arise at all.
The next stop was Lake Natron, and as soon as one turns off the main road you can feel the wilderness enveloping you. The landscape is arid and raw, with very few trees. There are almost no fences (other than around dwellings), and the Maasai shepherd their cattle and goats and the odd donkey alongside giraffe, zebra, wildebeest and Grant’s gazelle.
We were lucky enough to see Kori Bustard and a pair of secretary birds. The road is pretty rough, with some alternative tracks being called into use. Ol Doinyo Lengai is a magnificent mountain – a classic volcano, in such a pristine setting that it seems you are visiting another planet.
Climbing was “decidedly challenging” – Pascal and Elias (local Maasai guides) took us up, leaving at midnight. Tricky scrambling as you go straight up (no zig-zag paths here), and the rock and earth are new and often unstable. Sulphur vents add to the adventure. Lava flowed in 2012 and 2013, and it is the most active volcano in Africa. The last few hundred metres is a tricky scramble-up solid smooth rock with limited footholds – tricky when windy and wet. But awesome. Beautiful views on the way down – but you do need a stick (Pascal and Elias sourced some great Maasai sticks for us, which felt appropriate). Don’t miss the waterfall excursion or the Tanzania Safari Trip to the lake itself – untrammelled beauty.
In Tarangire, Rashid came into his own. The first day was saw the full range of superb wildlife – magnificent elephants, all seemingly at peace with the world. A rare nyala. A flock of lovebirds. A leopard tortoise. Lilac-breasted rollers. Then somehow Rashid spotted two male lions sleeping in the long grass, and we watched as they roused themselves, and crossed the road, giving us great views. The radio alerted us to a leopard and Rashid skilfully got us to a perfect position to see the leopard climb down the tree and walk right by us before disappearing into the undergrowth. The next day Rashid excelled himself – somehow found a pride of five lionesses and seven cubs, and the lionesses were hunting! We stuck with the pride for over three hours – just incredible. Rashid expertly positioned us so we could see the lionesses stalking some warthog, watch the chase, and then the lion squabble over the kill! And Rashid still had time to help another vehicle whose battery had died and had to be push-started!
Camping in Tarangire was great – the tents went under some trees, with no fences. You soon get used to it. The facilities blocks were variable, but always adequate. You probably would do well to keep some reserve loo paper on your person. No need to practice your balance when squatting (although this is required on Kilimanjaro).
Long trousers are recommended on their Safari Packing List Tanzania. For men, this seems to be a requirement. But there is a practical reason too – you don’t have to bother protecting bare legs from mosquitoes and biting tsetse flies.
Charles did a great job as a cook – supplying great variety in pretty difficult conditions. Fresh vegetables and fruit, great soup, tasty stews, some local dishes.
Both Rashid and Charles were a delightful company from beginning to end. We highly recommend African Scenic Safaris as the Best Tanzania Tour Operator, and will be using them for our next holiday in Tanzania in two years!

Incredible Manyara-Ngorongoro-Serengeti safari!
African Scenic Safaris allowed my wife and I to have an incredible Tanzania Safari Experience during our first East Africa trip last February - covering Lake Manyara, the Ngorongoro crater and Serengeti over five days.
Mary Charles was extremely helpful and responsive in organizing the Tanzania Safari Tour for us and finding us an additional travel companion in the months leading up, and then we had a great time during the safari itself with our driver/guide Jimmy and chef Aidano.
Beyond the obvious beauty of all the landscapes and animals we saw over those few days (it is somewhat cliche to say "there is no place on earth like this", but in this case, it is justified), what made the trip so memorable was spending those days in the company of Jimmy and Aidano. Jimmy is deeply knowledgeable of the region and provided great explanations (we found and saw all the major animals we wanted to see), Aidano's cooking was superb (a feat given the cooking was done in camp kitchens), and by the end of the safari, it felt as if we were travelling with friends.
In a nutshell, African Scenic Safaris is a relatively small local Tanzania Tour Operator, but they are extremely professional, well-organized and surprisingly inexpensive compared with many other tour operators we considered before opting for them. What we did was a camping safari, and while this might sound somewhat rough and rudimentary to some, we found it to be the best way to experience the East African savannah, as you can hear the sounds of nature at night. We slept comfortably in the tents provided.

An inspired adventure!
I recently participated in the 'Kilimanjaro Challenge 2017', a fundraising challenge in support of the Leukaemia Foundation. Travel and trek logistics were handled by Inspired Adventures (Sydney, Australia), who specialise in fundraising adventure travel. Inspired Adventures partnered with African Scenic Safaris on the ground in Moshi, Tanzania.
From the moment I arrived in Tanzania until the day I departed, African Scenic Safaris, under the very professional, friendly and extremely helpful Amanda :D, looked after me and our team of 18 Australians.
As the Best Tour Operator In Tanzania, Amanda and the team literally worked their magic to make sure we were all looked after every step of the way, and in my case also went the extra mile to resolve an extremely last-minute Transfer issue discovered the evening of the date I flow out of Melbourne. I can very happily report that the crisis was averted :D
In terms of the Kilimanjaro trek itself, from our Head Guide, Antipas to all the assistant Guides and Porters (67 in total!), they were just amazing. They were so supportive, encouraging, motivating and kept us all moving and best of all, we all made it to the summit.
I also booked a 4-Day Tanzania Safari Package, which started the day after the Kilimanjaro trek was completed. Two other members of the Kilimanjaro team also joined the Safari. Once again, between Dave, our Driver/Guide, and Oscar, our private Chef for the safari, we were looked after extremely well. Dave was a great Guide, very professional, very knowledgeable, had lots of interesting facts and information to share throughout the safari, and worked really hard to give us the best experience. He worked his magic when it came to finding animals, positioning the 4WD in the perfect place for best viewing and we were lucky to see all the 'Big Five' during the Safaris to Tanzania thanks to Dave. Oscar cooked up a storm every day and kept us well-fed.
So, whether you're looking for an altitude or safari adventure in Tanzania, I can't recommend African Scenic Safaris highly enough!

Oh, so good.
It's an adage that it's all about the people, but nothing could be truer in the case of African Scenic.
From the first contact to the last, they were outstanding. Emmanuel, our driver-guide, was fabulous - excellent driver, incredibly knowledgeable guide, friendly and warm with an engaging smile and sense of humour, and overall, a wonderful human being. Thank you, Emmanuel.
Then Nembris, our first contact and facilitator of queries and source of advice extraordinaire. Members turned ideas into the fabulous Tanzania Safari Trip it was.
Nester, our guide on the day in Kili, was exemplary. Gilbert and Noel complemented their colleagues in a way that showed the care African Scenic takes in what it does and the genuine desire to showcase the uniqueness of Tanzania.
Behind the scenes, there must be countless other superb staff - logistics, vehicles, procurement - that all contribute to the excellence and quality of experience.

Amazing Safari and Kilimanjaro Experience
We enjoyed a 16-day camping safari and Kilimanjaro climb with African Scenic over Dec-Jan 2022-3.
The company and staff were professional, organised knowledgeable, and able to organise part of our safari in Kenya as well as a stay with a local Maasai tribe.
The Tanzania Safari Itinerary was well thought through, and we were able to see all key species in good numbers, including the wildebeest migration, which was a highlight. The Tanzania Safari Tours and Kilimanjaro climb experience was comfortable and we felt well supported throughout. Our cooks also provided excellent food while camping on both safari and Kilimanjaro. A once-in-a-lifetime trip!

One for your bucket list!
If you are strapped for time this is the perfect way to see the best bits of Tanzania. The crew made our Tanzania Safari Trip one I will never forget. Emmanuel was an excellent guide and very knowledgeable about the areas we visited.
I also loved his respect for the wildlife, at no point did I feel like we were bothering the animals and they were completely unphased by our presence.
At Tarangire, we had a massive herd of elephants approaching us and in Serengeti, we were able to sit with 2 magnificent lionesses and their cubs while they played until they passed out.
On these Safaris to Tanzania, you will never go hungry if you have Omari as your chef. All our meals were made with love and there was always A LOT of food. I am not sure he actually slept because even on the early morning starts, we were treated to a gourmet breakfast.
The campsites chosen were very clean and well maintained as was all the camping gear.
I give African Scenic Safaris an 11/10 ⭐

Beyond our expectations!
What a great experience we had with friends thanks to African Scenic Safaris. A huge thank you to Grayson for being such a wonderful guide! It is thanks to him that we were able to live and share such a great time in the middle of the Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro.
Welcoming, smiling, caring, and passionate, he always finds the best spot and loves to share his passion.
But it's also thanks to our cook Charlie who prepared us truly delicious dishes while adapting to our vegetarian diet! A huge thank you to him too.

Excellent team and organisation (safari and Kili)!
Thanks very much to African Scenic Safaris for the Kilimanjaro ascension and the Safaris in Tanzania. We were with our three children aged 14, 17 and 19.
We first climbed Kilimanjaro on the Machame Route - for 7 days with Joel as the head guide;
AJ and Emmanuel as assistant guides, and 18 porters. Great trekking, super organisation and excellent advice from Joel to make sure we will all reach the top. The last ascent is hard but we are very proud to have made it!
Then we spent 4 days on Tanzania Safari: Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro. We discovered plenty of animals and got information from our guide Tom. We stayed in great lodges as well.
Everything was very well organised. Thanks for this great trip! We highly recommend African Scenic Safaris as the Best Safari Operators in Tanzania!

Unforgettable experience (trek and safari)
We went as a family, with 2 teenagers. We did a trek in the Ngorongoro Park and a small Serengeti Safari. It was an unforgettable experience.
For the trek, the Massai guide was very professional and really interesting; the landscapes were beautiful.
We passed through several villages and were able to talk with the Massai people. Our cook is a chef, the meals were good and balanced, while all the equipment and supplies were transported by donkey. During the 2 Safaris in Tanzania (Serengeti and Ngorongoro caldera), we saw many animals in activity: lions, two leopards, cheetahs, hippos, elephants, giraffes, antelopes, ostriches, buffaloes, hyenas, jackals, a serval, mongooses... We have enough to make a wildlife report with all our photos :-) Our driver was passionate and fascinating.
Just one thing: it is not very hot (between 5 and 10°C in N'Gorongoro), so do not forget the warm clothes in your Tanzania Safari Packing List. And the light burns: don't forget the sun cream either!

From the time we contacted African scenic safaris, they were extremely helpful, we dealt with Priyank and Laura who were very knowledgeable and helpful.
They had plenty of options and we ended up with exactly the Tanzania Safari Package we wanted.
Laura took the time to group phone call all of us which was very helpful.
After we finished climbing Kilimanjaro Jackson collected us from our hotel and took us to the hotel they had arranged for us.
After a rest day, Jackson collected us and we set off on our 5-Day Safari Tanzania.
Jackson was very knowledgeable. He knew where to find the animals and was a great company to be with.
All the accommodation provided was 1st class and the food was exceptional.
The quality of service was also a top drawer
I would definitely recommend African Scenic Safaris as one of the Best Tour Companies in Tanzania particularly Jackson our guide.

Bush and Beach: Tarangire, Ndutu, Seronera, Ngorongoro and Nungwe (Zanzibar)
12-day camping safari for my wife and me and our three adult children - with a brilliant guide (Grayson) and an excellent cook (Omary). Grayson was very sensitive to our needs and interests and to those of the animals and birds we were trying to see - greatly enhancing the joy of the Tanzania Safari Trip. We were lucky enough to see two cheetah kills, two cheetah chases (the African wild cat and hare managed to get away), one lion hunt (the baby zebra got away after the mother kicked the lion with both back hooves), and after the excitement, Grayson positioned us to see the zebra mother and baby pass in front of the vehicle - with the mother's back leg bleeding but the baby unhurt.
Quite brilliant - there were many other vehicles there, but our Tanzania Safari Vehicle always seemed to be in prime position and not part of the pack. Also saw a leopard on the move - three times passing in front of the vehicle at touching distance. And lots more - take the time to properly see animals, and the African Scenic team will make it work for you!
We then finished with four days in Zanzibar by opting for the Tanzania Combined Safari Packages- awesome as expected.
Fantastic holiday, and African Scenic, being local, were able to make a difference and maximise our experiences. Highly recommended!.

A wonderful trip to create memories of a lifetime
We contacted Simbo at the beginning, who prepared a draft Safari Itinerary Tanzania which he was happy to change a few times with altered dates, and different lodges and parks. We chose this company based on this initial interaction and also considering their charitable work. All the drivers we dealt with were friendly and helpful. Tom was our Tanzania Safari Guide and driver and was outstanding throughout. He has an amazing ability to drive and then stop and identify an animal in the distance. He has a great sense of humour and kept us thoroughly entertained.
We travelled to Tarangire, all through the Serengeti, Ngorongoro and also a Maasai lodge. We were fortunate enough to see the Tanzania Big 5, most of which were very close up. Joel, Emmanuel and Beatrice helped us to reach the base camp, although only the 2 lads actually succeeded. Overall, we had a wonderful once-in-a-lifetime experience and enjoyed every minute. I would suggest you Book a Safari in Tanzania with African Scenic Safaris- you won’t be disappointed.

4-day safari and a trip to Zanzibar- exceptional service by African Scenic Safaris
We have just returned from a 4-day Tanzania Safari ending in 5 days in Zanzibar.
What can I say, the patience of Priyank ensuring we got everything exactly as we wanted, to the perfect coordination of all fights and pickups. I honestly can't thank you enough...
A special thanks also to Grayson, our guide who was fantastic. His understanding of animal behaviour allowed us to watch lions mate, a cheetah hunting Impala, and leopards up trees, every other guide gave up but it was almost like he knew if we just waited that bit longer it would be worthwhile and on each occasion it was.
One memory will stick with me forever and that was lunch with 10 lions beside us while they stalked zebras who were cooling off at a watering hole.
Just a perfect Trip to Tanzania in every way. Many memories were made. Thanks.

6 Day Safari - Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater
Booking a big trip like a safari in a foreign country was a bit of a daunting experience at first, but with African Scenic Safaris we always felt like we were in safe hands. Nembris, our sales consultant, was a great help in all aspects from building our personalised Safari Tanzania Itinerary, with our own special requests, to provide answers to any questions/queries we had.
My wife has a severe gluten intolerance and all hotels had been informed prior to our arrival of the dietary requirement.
The trip itself was an amazing experience and exactly as detailed during the Safari Tanzania Booking process. We were looked after incredibly well by our guide Tom who had worked in the industry for many years. He was a very safe driver and had an endless amount of knowledge surrounding wildlife and Tanzania in general he happily shared with us.
We would certainly recommend African Scenic Safaris as the Best Tanzania Tour Operator to our friends and family or anyone else looking for reassurance before going ahead with a booking.

A dream came true
I have booked a 4-day Tanzania Safari for me and my two adult daughters. Since I was a child, I wanted to see the Serengeti National Park and now my wish has come true. I am so happy that we booked with African Scenic Safari. Everything was well organized.
Emmanuel was the best guide ever. He knew everything about every animal we have seen and we have seen a lot of animals. We had three nights in tented camps in Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro. The tented camps were amazing. We could hear the animals (even lions) at night but we had a very comfortable tent with real beds and a very good bathroom. Breakfast and Dinner have been wonderful and the staff in every camp was so nice and we felt very safe.
After sunset, we could sit around the fireplace and have a drink and Emmanuel explained everything, we wanted to know about the animals around us. It was really hard to say goodbye after the Safari in Tanzania and next time I will Book Safari Tanzania a little longer because it was one of the greatest adventures for me since I started travelling. I have also been on a Safari before, but nothing could be compared to this experience.

Unforgettable honeymoon
We decided to do a Tanzania Honeymoon Safari and we chose African Scenic Safaris for this unforgettable experience. Since the beginning Nembris has been very professional and she designed a perfect safari travel according to our requests and animal migration period. Our Tanzania Safari Tour was even more special thanks to our fantastic guide Thom who accompanied us during all the safari. He is a very prepared, passionate and kind person. Thanks to his experience we were always in the right place to see animals very closely and to take wonderful pictures. We really enjoyed spending time with him and thanks to Thom we learned a lot about animals.
Everything has been very well organized and they even customized the spare wheel cover for our honeymoon! Amazing experience! Highly recommended
We were 2 couples and planned a 6-day Safari in Ngorongoro and Serengeti (North included). The experience was beyond expectations, our guide TOM was truly the best, he had a wide and experienced knowledge of the area and the animal's behaviours, therefore we managed not just to spot them, but to truly experience parts of their lives.
We were assisted in the Serengeti wild-beast Migration, crocodiles catching Zebras, lionesses hunting, and mating of various species and gazelles newborns. This was truly an added value and made our experience wonderful.

Before talking about African Scenic Safaris, I would like to write something about the driver. Jackson Joseph is the best safari driver you can find worldwide. He is a specialist. He finds always the best habitat to discover animals as part of the Tanzania Big Game Safaris. Finding the Big 5 was a simple thing for him and witnessing the Serengeti Wildebeest Migration was a highlight. We also saw 3 wild beasts crossing in Masai Mara. He reflects the hakuna matata way of living: he is always happy and creates the perfect atmosphere during the game. He has always respected the daily program. Asante sana Jackson. Let's talk about African Scenic safaris. Behind the best driver, I think there must be the best team ever. African organised for us 5 wonderful days: 2 days in Serengeti, 2 days in Masai Mara and 1 day in Ngorongoro as part of their excellent Tanzania Safari Packages. Safari of a lifetime
We are an Italian couple and booked a 4-day Tanzania Safari to visit Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro parks. Nembris helped us with patience to organize an ad hoc experience, this wouldn't have been possible without her help! The Tanzania Safari Lodges they booked were amazing!
We have no words to express how amazing this experience has been, the animals and scenery were too beautiful to be true such that it was hard to realize that we weren't in a documentary!
Our guide Emmanuel was the nicest ever, he guided us through the three Tanzania National Parks and carefully replied to all our answers with patience and competence!
It has been an amazing experience, one that you remember for your whole life and this for sure is also because of the African Scenic Safaris guys and all their collaborators!
We do really recommend it; nothing can be better than a safari organized by them!.

Unforgettable experience
We booked a 7-day (6 nights) Tanzania Safari through Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro parks and everything was simply perfect, mostly thanks to our guide, Jimmy, who conducted the Tanzania Safari Tour in an extremely professional way.
Thanks to his skills and his knowledge nothing of the parks was a secret to us. The accommodations were always nice and well organized, even in the middle of the wildlife.

Trip of a lifetime!
We had an amazing time in Tanzania! We saw the Big 5 and so much more, with the highlight being the great Serengeti Wildebeest Migration in the western part. We really enjoyed our village visits too and learning more about Tanzania’s tribes, culture and history.
Nembris made the planning easy and our Tanzania Safari Guide Jackson made sure we were in the right places at the right time! He was an excellent driver & it’s clear he takes pride in his job and wants his guests to have a great experience. Relaxing at the beautiful Zuri Zanzibar for a few days after the Tanzania Safari & before the long journey home was perfect!.

Fantastic Experience - Could Not Ask for More!
We had a great experience with African Scenic Safaris. I found them through this site and turned over almost all the planning for our one-week Tanzania Family Safari (2 parents + 2 college kids) to them. They did a fantastic job in planning and communicating pre-trip and executed flawlessly during our visit. Our diver/guide (Grayson) was so kind, personable and professional.
He could spot animals that we clearly would have missed. He also tailored our days based on our interests. So glad we found this Tanzania Travel Company and I've already recommended it to friends in the few days we have been home. I did not research pricing but it seemed very fair once you understand all the park fees.

Once in a Lifetime Experience
Ok, so for most people an Africa Safari Tanzania is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. There are so many companies and ways to do it, so how do you choose THE RIGHT Tanzania Tour Company for this epic event? Well, I was fortunate to get a personal recommendation for African Scenic Safaris. I was NOT steered wrong. All communications were prompt and straightforward. All details were expertly handled. All accommodations were great and everything that was in their control went smoothly. We visited Tarangire National Park, Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro Crater, central Serengeti and northern Serengeti for a spectacular hot air balloon ride and to see the Serengeti Wildebeest Migration across the Mara River. While a lot to fit into 8 days, I wouldn’t change a thing. Seeing the animals in these varied environments was so amazing!.
Our guide, Tom, absolutely made the Tanzania Safaris Trips though. He is so knowledgeable and experienced. His sense of humour, kindness and care made me feel like he was family. We did and saw so much in the 8 days we were with him. His expertise got us to the right place at the right time on so many occasions. It felt like he shared our excitement and enthusiasm and his love for the animals and parks was apparent. I celebrated a milestone birthday while I was there and he made sure it was a special day I won’t ever forget. I can’t thank Tom and African Scenic Safari enough for my once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Fabulous family adventure climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro and on Safari
Our family (including 2 teenagers) experienced an amazing Safari Trips Tanzania with African Scenic Safaris in July 2021. We were interested in working with a Tanzania-based team to guide us on Mt. Kilimanjaro and Safari and were thrilled with our journey. Part of our group had been to both places before, so we had high expectations, and those were met and exceeded! Guides were knowledgeable, ensured safety (COVID-related protocols and especially summiting Kili)
facilitated all logistics well, had a great eye spotting animals, offered terrific recommendations for accommodations in the Serengeti and Tarangire (and had delicious fresh food on Kili!), and were fun to be with!
