How to Obtain a Tanzania Visa?
There are two main ways to get your Visa for Tanzania—either through the Tanzania Visa Online platform or at the point of entry with the Tanzania Visa on Arrival option. Let's take you through each method to help you prepare for your Tanzania Safari Tours:
Online Visa Platform
The easiest way to apply for a Visa to Tanzania is through the Tanzania evisa system. Here’s what you need to know:
- Visa applications must be submitted through the Official Tanzania Immigration Website https://visa.immigration.go.tz/.
- Before applying, make sure to read the Tanzania Visa Guidelines carefully and agree to the terms and conditions on the Visa Portal.
- Ensure that your passport is valid for at least six months with at least one unused visa page.
- Remember that Tanzania Tourist Visa Cost may vary depending on nationality, with different fees for Tanzania Visa Cost for US Citizens and Tanzania Visa Cost for UK Citizens.
The detailed Tanzania evisa Application guide and the Tanzania Visa Fees are discussed in other sections.
On-Arrival Visa Platform
For those who prefer to get their Tanzania Visa on Arrival, it’s available for travellers whose nationalities are not listed under the Referral Visa Category. However, it’s still recommended to use the online platform. Here are some important points for you to know:
- Check if your nationality falls under the Tanzania Visa on Arrival Countries list or if you need to apply in advance.
- On arrival, applicants need to pay the Tanzania Visa on Arrival Cost, which may vary by country.
The list of countries whose nationals require a Referral Visa is mentioned here.
Points to Remember
- It doesn’t matter if you're applying online or on arrival, but make sure that you meet the Tanzania Visa Requirements.
- Always check your eligibility before applying for a Tanzania evisa. Some countries fall under the Tanzania Visa Free Countries list, meaning their citizens don’t need a visa. See the countries list here.
