The trip starts with a beautiful 9–11-hour bus ride from Moshi to Dar es Salaam. Along the way, you can see Tanzania's beautiful scenery and people going about their daily lives. When you get there, someone will take you to the ferry port. The ride across the turquoise water to Zanzibar is two hours long.
